Insurance and inspections
Florida homeowners insurance works differently than many buyers expect. Ask for wind-mitigation and four-point inspections, which can affect your premium, and request quotes early in your inspection period.
Settling in
Plan for a Florida driver's license, vehicle registration and, if the home will be your primary residence, the homestead exemption application with the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser.
